• Program
Help determine the programs for each General Meeting. (Usually meets quarterly to plan 4-6 months in advance.)
• Public Relations
Helps get the word out about BCOA - through press releases, contacting the media, and putting together press packets for special events. Great way to get in the limelight and be a star!
• Roadmap
Tasked with planning next year's Roadmap for Aging event -- an awesome project! (Link to Roadmap page)
• Scholarship
Determines scholarship criteria and reviews applications for two BCOA $1000 scholarships awarded each year. Promotes this program at local schools and businesses. Molding and supporting future generations is key!
• TRIAD
Great opportunity to network with partner groups of seniors and law enforcement. BCOA members sponsor a breakfast on the 1st Thursday of every month, 9:30 am at the Davie Police Department.

• Cheryl Wilson Memorial Fund
Coordinates fund-raisers to put money into this very special fund, and is famous for the yearly BCOA calendars. Funds are distributed to seniors in crisis and available to any senior in Broward.
• Finance
Reviews financial procedures and issues of financial management and planning for BCOA.
• Leadership
New committee formed to help develop future BCOA leaders, develop our own leadership skills, and help new members through mentoring and orientation. Goal is to put on a leadership workshop once a year.
• Legislative
Reviews legislative issues that affect our members and their clients. Educates our membership on issues, organizes legislative events and/or educational forums -
and may also meet with local legislators.
• Membership
Welcomes guests at each meeting and assists with information distribution for members. Plans a Membership Drive meeting once a year. Great way to get to know all the members of BCOA!
• Outreach
Responsible for collection of funds and food for donation. Identifies projects for low-income senior communities and non-profit organizations. Collects donations such as toiletries or hurricane supplies, then delivers them to selected locations.
