On August 10th, 2017, the BCOA held its annual Wings of Angels and Scholarship Fund Awards Ceremony.
BCOA offers annual reward opportunities to outstanding caregivers and those dedicated students who are pursuing a career to serve the senior community.
The Wings of Angels award is a cash gift of $200 given to two outstanding caregivers who go the extra mile to provide excellent service to those that they serve. Individuals are nominated either by our member organizations who employ Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aids or Nurses employers. Email letters can be submitted to the Wings of Angels/Scholarship Chairman and then the winners are selected by the Committee.
The Scholarship award is the sum of $1,000 paid directly to the winner’s school to help pay for their education expenses such as tuition and books. Students submit application forms, found on our website, accompanied by the required documentation to the Wings of Angels/Scholarship Chairman. Two Scholarship winners are selected based upon their academic skills and their level of passion for the career they have chosen.
In this way, BCOA is following their mission to improve the quality of the lives of Seniors in Broward County.
